FABRIC RESEARCH AND TREATMENT
MAN MADE SUEDE-TC: Parka in Man Made Suede-TC, a non-woven fabric, made with nylon microfibres and polyurethane resins, engineered through a complex industrial process leading to a mattress of 22 hyper thin microfibre layers, with the help of a polyethylene component. The material is then impregnated with resins and coagulated. The result is a substrate which is lightened through washes dissolving the polyethylene component. The material is then treated to achieve the final suede aspect. STONE ISLAND achieves, for the first time in history, to dignify a coagulated material through garment dyeing. The addition of a special agent to the dye recipe makes the garment anti-drop.
